…In this great age of anus burgers and bacon-covered doughnuts, most of us will be killed by diabetes — and that means it would probably be smart to start donating to diabetes organizations right now. By popular demand…$350 registration deadline has been extended through midnight, Monday March 7th. After March 7th, registration fees increase to $500 so get your team together and REGISTER NOW!!

It’s that time again – REGISTER NOW for the 6th Annual Dodging Diabetes® Charity Dodgeball Tournament! This year, the tournament will be at Champions Fieldhouse on Sunday, March 13, 2011. Registration is open! Donate here: http://www.active.com/donate/dodgingdiabetes2011.

Registration rates: For the entire month of January, registration will be $300 per team. In February, the price is $350 per team. From March 1st through the 7th, the price is $400 per team. After March 7th, registration will be $500 per team.

We’re excited to launch this blog to give you an inside peek into what goes into planning the tournament, who the planners really are and what the organization is all about.

This year’s tournament will be on Sunday, March 2 at the Landon School in Bethesda, MD. 26 teams will compete in this one-day dodgeball tournament.

We founded Dodging Diabetes in 2005 to bring Washington, D.C. area young professionals, friends and family members together to raise money to fight diabetes. We raise money through the generous support of our sponsors, players and volunteers at our annual dodgeball tournament in March each year. 100% of the money we raise goes directly to the Joslin Diabetes Center.

We’d love to hear from you about what you’re looking forward at the 2008 3rd Annual Dodging Diabetes Charity Dodgeball Tournament.
