Senate, thank you for passing the Medicare and Medicaid Extenders Act of 2010, which includes a two-year extension of the Special Diabetes Program at the current funding level of $150 million annually.

House, you’re next. We’re hoping you’ll follow the Senate lead.

This November – National Diabetes Month – let’s be thankful for all of the scientists, researchers and doctors who are working hard to understand, treat and prevent diabetes. And let’s make sure that Congress continues to fund the special diabetes program, which is scheduled to expire next year unless its members act to renew this year.

Dodging Diabetes has reached Iraq thanks to our friend and ref Randy DeCleene who had a flag flown high over camp Speicher in Tikrit, Iraq. We have a certificate we’re so excited to frame. And you better believe the flag will be proudly displayed at the next tournament… on Sunday March 13. See you there!
